“The sourdough at Maplewood ruined every other loaf in Burlington for me. We stop in most Saturdays and the olive parmesan scone is worth the trip alone.”
“Elena built us a three-tier wedding cake with a raspberry filling that our guests are still talking about. She walked us through flavors and design over one easy call after we filled out the form online.”
“We order the pastry platters for our office every Monday. Easy online ordering, always on time, and the almond croissants disappear in minutes.”
What our customers say
Ordered our wedding cake here and it was even better than the tasting. Every guest asked where it came from.
The South End cafe is my daily coffee stop. Pastry case changes just enough to keep it interesting.
Their sourdough sells out fast for a reason. Get there early on Saturdays.
Ordered a custom pie for Thanksgiving two years running now. Consistently excellent.
Custom birthday cake turned out great, though it took a couple of calls to nail down the exact design.
Questions
Use the Start a Custom Order form on our Custom Orders page - it captures your event date, guest count, and occasion (wedding, birthday, catering, or corporate) so Elena's team can follow up with flavor and design options already in mind.
It's a good idea, especially for seasonal items - our Menu page shows what's currently in the case: breads, pastries, cakes by the slice, and drinks, updated as our offerings change.
Yes - regulars can order ahead for pickup so their morning pastry or coffee is ready the moment they walk in, no waiting in the case line.
Yes. Gluten-free, vegan, and nut-free items are labeled clearly on the case and on our menu page, so you can decide before you visit instead of asking at the counter.
We recommend at least 6-8 weeks out for wedding cakes and 2 weeks for birthday or celebration cakes, though we'll always try to accommodate a shorter timeline - just call and ask.
